Protein Synthesis

Protein synthesis is the process in which cells build proteins. This is a Multistep process that starts with a portion of DNA that is responsible for a protein being copied into a piece of mRNA.  That mRNA now holds the code for the protein that the cell wants to synthesize or make.  That mRNA then goes to the ribosomes in the cytoplasm or the rough Endoplasmic reticulum where the ribosomes read the codons, or 3 letter sequences on the mRNA, and begins to produce amino acids that are put together to form the final protein!  Sounds hard right? Its really not as bad as it seems! Check out this video!
